Today I met with cleaners Marice Hall, Karen McGee and Lesley Locke who are on strike from Kinsley Primary Academy after having their pay cut and terms and conditions changed.

I support them for standing up for their rights and call on their employer to get around the table to negotiate a fair and reasonable agreement.

This is part of a much bigger problem. Many people are working in precarious jobs with employers who don’t seem to have high regard for the staff that work for them. It is completely unacceptable
